Beginner/Intermediate to Advanced
Using basic ties (single column tie, lacing, calf binder, etc.), we will put our focus on rope handling. We will see
how you can manipulate your rope in a way that is the most efficient and makes the most sense. Not only will it
make your life easier as a rigger, it will also enhance the experience of the person that you tie, as everything will
be neater, cleaner and more precise.
Mastering the basics is already great and a crucial element. I would like to go beyond and open a space where we
can explore how to add some juiciness on top of your rope handling. How can you play with rhythm, accent,
breath, movement, touch as you handle your rope? How can you blend the basics of rope handling with some
tips and tricks to add some volume and colours to your tying?
The focus will be on floor work only.
The workshop will be held in English, but it will be possible to ask questions in German or French.
Prerequisites:
- single column tie (for the rigger)
- good knowledge of how tension, counter-tension and frictions work (for the rigger)
- good knowledge of floor work safety, especially regarding nerve safety (for both rigger and bottom)
- awareness of scene negotiations, communication and aftercare (for both rigger and bottom)
- awareness of your own limitations (for both rigger and bottom)
Workshop Level: 2
Sprache: Englisch / Französisch – Fragen können auch auf Deutsch beantwortet werden.
Ein paar Worte der Veranstalter über die Anzahl der Workshop Registrationen
Es ist reizvoll, täglich drei Workshops zu besuchen. Dies ist uns bewusst und deshalb regulieren wird dies auch nicht. Erfahrungsgemäss ist es jedoch fast unmöglich, sich diese Menge an Informationen zu merken.
Wir empfehlen und bitten darum, maximal zwei Workshops am Tag zu buchen.
Es ist schade, dass die Presenter am Sonntag immer wieder Kurse haben, die eigentlich ausgebucht waren, aber Teilnehmer einfach keine Energie mehr haben und dann nicht kommen. Bitte lasst anderen Fesselkollegen:innen auch die Möglichkeit Workshops zu besuchen. Wir sind der Meinung, dass auch mit zwei Workshops am Tag und den weiteren Angeboten wie die Rope Jams und die Live Shows der Ticketpreis noch mehr als fair ist. Wir bedanken uns dafür bei euch.
