Vik is a rigger from Barcelona. His first contact with shibari was 8 years ago. But it wasn’t until the beggining of 2019 that he felt an interest in learning and practicing it. He started tying and being tied, training with several riggers and exploring various styles. His curiosity and interest for Semenawa led him to study with international instructors.
In kinbaku, he found both simplicity and intricacy, a style that enhances the beauty of the body and emotions, simple in appearance but with a great purpose, intention and complexity. Along with his partner Gala, they have had the opportunity of doing performances or, as they prefer to call them, live sessions in public, both nationally and internationally. They have also been invited to Milan to participate in the Kinbaku Lab research group and recently, both as riggers, created the Kinbaku Lab Barcelona along with other riggers and bottoms.
Gala Kinshinawa is a rope switch also from Barcelona. She started her journey 4 years ago as a bottom with her partner Vik. Shortly after, she became curious about the role of rigger, so while she continued to accumulate experience as a bottom, she took her first steps as a rigger, first exploring self-tying and self-suspension and shortly after as a rigger. She has learned from teachers from the international scene who are focused mainly on the dissemination of Semenawa, although she continues to discover her own style, a mixture of darkness, strength, delicacy, eroticism, closeness, power and more primary instincts. She has had the opportunity to do national and international performances as well as photoshoots and videoshoots for specialized channels both as rigger and bottom.
Nowadays they both are focused in the disclosure of Kinbaku in a professional way, both on international workshops and at the studio that are running together, Shizen Studio Barcelona.
