Saara Rei & Swen Brandy

Saara Rei and Swen Brandy are longtime collaborators who bring together their shared philosophy and complementary backgrounds to create transformative, emotionally resonant experiences in rope and beyond. Together, they blend performance, pedagogy, and deep personal inquiry into workshops and performances that challenge, provoke, and inspire.

Saara is a multidisciplinary performance artist and Kinbaku educator with a lifelong foundation in music, dance, education, and public speaking. Since 2014, she has explored Japanese-inspired rope bondage as a medium for vulnerability, presence, and truth. Known for her surreal, emotionally charged performance style, Saara brings a deeply embodied understanding of rope from her years of experience as both a bottom and a rigger. She is a co-founder of Embodied in Rope, a comprehensive educational project for rope bottoms, and co-host of the podcast Model Behaviour.

Swen is an artist and facilitator working at the intersection of BDSM, photography, and self-expression. With a focus on nonverbal communication, edge play, and embodied intensity, he guides participants through challenging yet consensual explorations of intimacy, sensation, and personal growth. His artistic motto, “When the final mask falls, beauty unfolds,” reflects his commitment to authenticity and deep emotional engagement in every encounter.

Together, Saara and Swen create immersive spaces that blend physical challenge with emotional depth, encouraging participants to confront and embrace the full spectrum of their experience. Whether teaching or performing, they aim to foster connection, self-discovery, and transformation—through rope, through presence, and through the power of shared vulnerability.
